LF101 | Rabbit, Amazon's healthcare moves, impact of LLMs on healthcare, AgeTech Market Map
Welcome to a Looking Forward’s Four For Friday. Four things that have piqued my interest this week. Enjoy!
The Rabbit steals a jump on CES
In a week of busy CES product launches, the launch of Rabbit was the most exciting for me. It’s a ‘natural language operating system’ based on a ‘Large Action Model’ (i.e. do stuff, not just talk about it) integrated into a dedicated device. It seeks to bypass the app paradigm entirely, using your voice. More on this at LF soon.
Amazon will treat you now
Amazon continues to explore new consumer healthcare models, creating a ‘Health Conditions Program’ (I wonder if they fired their branding team), with launch partner Omada. Amazon customers will share their health condition with the company (err, ok) and if eligible receive easier access to their benefits. Frankly, Amazon probably already knows more about you than your doctor, and this may just end up giving people more awareness of underutilized benefits, so it’s an interesting development.
Six ways LLMs are changing healthcare
In short: Virtual nurses, note-taking, adverse event detection, cancer, social determinants of health and conversational AI diagnostics.

That’s all for this week. As always, feedback welcome. Feel free to share insights or links of interest.

Stephen, I finally had a chance to watch the Rabbit demo, not being an IT person, I need to stop and repeat a few places to wrap my head around the technical pieces, but wow!...so exciting to see where we are headed. Love the price point and competition for big guys. Thanks for sharing. Angela
